First, Welcome to Salman Ahsan dot Com Version 2.0 .If you guys visit my blog on a regular basis then, you should have seen the changes some time ago. I realized that I had some unfinished business with my blogs so finally I took the leap and wala, version 2 was born.

This post is definitely not going to be that long. Today, I just wanted to update you guys with my plans for this blog. Read them below:

Design & layout

I have made changes to the design and layout in order to make navigation much easier. The blog still runs on the amazing Thesis Frame, skin was created by KolaKube and customized by me.

Plugins- I have removed all the unnecessary plugins and codes to make this blog run fast. If you know a little code, you can replace plugins.

Advertisement & Sponsorship

No crappy ads on my blog anymore. I don’t support stuff that does not work; heck, I don’t promote them. If you see an ad on this blog then it should be relevant to the blog, niche or content. I only accept sponsorship from legitimate businesses and individuals; I verify them myself.

Why Ads and Sponsors? Well, I need someone to pay my bills while I write amazing posts, create kick-ass forums, provide value to the community and of course, help you guys live your dream life . Beside, this blog is not my primary money maker because the sole purpose of this blog is to share my wisdom and experience. I just hope you all enjoy my content and spread it around so others could benefit from it.

Shit List

I added a category along with a blogroll called the shit list. This list will contain all the names of people, authors, marketers, wannabes who are shit and meaningless. I hate people who live their life by scamming others. These people need to be exposed and what would be better than having them listed in a category , I am sure they deserve it. I am hoping this addition to my blog would benefit everyone in the internet and marketing industry.

I still haven’t added this section yet but I have this in my mind and will work on it soon. I will install a question & answer section on this blog so you can get your stuff straight. I don’t think ill be able to handle all questions myself so I am thinking of implementing a platform that will allow all my readers to interact and help each other out by answering their questions. I already run this amazing forum Blogmasterpoint where you can interact with bloggers andentrepreneurs. Go register and create some threads right away

Gallery

I just added a sweet gallery to my blog. The tab is in the navigation menu so check it out. Beside doing my online stuff, I travel, party and do all the crazy shit (of course nothing illegal). I thought it would be awesome to share my photos with my readers; at the same time I’ll be able to showcase my photography and get more traffic .

Verdict

I am constantly working to improve my blog’s performance. I am sure I am going to get more traffic after setting up everything I have planned. If there is anything you would like me to add then please let me know. All suggestions welcome. I am working on a few blog posts, ebook and project so expect something good down the road. Talk soon!

It has been crazy long; probably a month since I made my last post. Sorry for not presenting anything cool for a while. I have been traveling and then caught this bad cold. I hope you guys had an amazing holiday.

I was in Boston for a week to meet a friend who was leaving for Sydney to attend medical school. I had a great time there meeting various people, driving around and checking out places. Also, my first attempt at writing a blog post using the iPad was an epic fail . The wordpress app has bugs when connecting to self-hosted blogs. Or maybe I wasn’t doing it right; whatever it is, I am sure there are other ways but I still feel that iPad is not the best for blogging. I would trade the iPad for a MacBook Air anytime but keeping productivity aside, iPad is still a cool gadget. I use mine as a turntable (the recent dj app that I purchased for $20 is pretty slick) and a gaming station for now.

New Year’s Eve was pretty good. I tagged along with some friends to attend a concert in Paradise Lounge in Boston and then later got wasted .  I flew to New York City on the 3^rd of Jan to meet another friend and got back to Boston after 12 hours. I then flew back home to Richmond the next day which was the 4^th. If you were following my twitter, I guess you know all these. Traveling wasn’t that bad but I guess winter and then the few flight delays got me sick (sniff).

New Year’s resolutions are always made and then broken. I really didn’t pay much attention to it because it never worked out for me. I believe in hard work and taking action. I have been lazy myself and it sucks to say that 2010 was not all productive for me. I know I could have done better but as said, lesson learned!

I was working on several projects. I do not want to list them right now but it includes forums, some mini niche sites and more… There is a reason why the gurus always say- “Focus in just one thing at a time.” I hardly followed that because I, on the other hand, love multi-tasking . The easiest example would be working on 3-4 blogs, creating some designs, checking out forums and then doing CPA. Now that’s hell lot of a work. I did achieve some milestones and 2010 was not all bad but, I think if I focused on a few things rather than what I did, the final result would have been much better. However, it’s all part of the game and its better when we realize it and take action at the right time. So, let’s make 2011 the best for you and me.

First, my blogs are very important to me. I am planning to take both Salman Ahsan dot Com and MasterMind Blogger to the next level. I will post here whenever I can. As for MasterMind Blogger, I am looking for some good writers who are interested to join my team. I have made over 50 posts there and will continue posting but I cannot keep up always. I am sure I will be able to build a team of passionate bloggers for MasterMind Blogger. If you are interested, check out the contact section

BlogMasterPoint- This is a forum I created for bloggers and entrepreneurs. I haven’t worked on it much but am hoping to bring it to life pretty soon. As of now, it has over 500 posts and I am planning to recruit some good posters to get the word out. Feel free to join and connect.

DiscussApple- Another forum of mine; discuss everything apple related. The forum is pretty fresh and I am expecting its growth in 2011.

If you are wondering how I am going to make money from forums- I haven’t monetized any of my forums yet to that level. You might see some AdSense or ad banners but it’s just the basic. Trust me, when I do, I will let you know and that will be soon!

BloggingTips.Co- I am glad that I have acquired the domain. I haven’t totally finalized what I am going to do with this but for now; I am planning to run a script where anyone (registered user) will be able to post a short blogging tip. It will be more like twitter for bloggers . In simple words, you tweet but only blogging tips, eh. Anyways, I will post an update when I have finalized everything.

Cost Per Action- CPA has been one of my favourite methods to make money online. I haven’t made enough like the gurus but it’s a matter of time. I have started researching and working on it since a year which means I have lot to learn. I have made a post about why CPA is one of the best methods to make money online here. I got accepted in over 10 best CPA companies, tried media buys, Facebook ads, adwords, cpv etc. I always dreamt about making money with CPA offers but trust me, if you are willing to work on it, you will make some real money. I have mentioned in my earlier post that I would create an eBook about CPA. The eBook will be my personal opinion and experience. I will include each and everything I have learnt and I hope you not only download it but read it and take action. I am not a guru or a big shot but, maybe 2011 will change everything .

I have few other stuff planned down the road and once they come up, I will post them. I am really pumped up and besides being a full time BIS student at the moment, I bet I will work my ass off to double/triple the result this year.

I have mentioned this before in one of my previous posts. You guys probably heard about one of my new forums BlogMasterPoint which was created just for bloggers. I have dedicated some good amount of time on the layouts, design, and content for several days and I hope that everyone likes it. Feedbacks are most welcome. We will be working on the design and also tweaking the forum to make it stand out.
