Couple of months ago I purchased a Canon T3i which has been awesome so far. I have been playing with its features because this is the first time I have a DSLR and I consider myself as an amateur photographer.
I love photography and do it whenever I can and I do have several stuff to learn. The main purpose for getting the DSLR was to make videos. I know it sounds weird right? I could have bought 2 awesome video cameras for the price of this one but I chose to go with a DSLR simply because of taking advantage of both photo and videography and Canon was a good choice.
More about canon and my videography stuff coming later but for now, I am sharing some cool pics I have taken right from my apartment. They are hosted on flickr so you can check them out in details if you want to but I am embeding a slideshow just for your convenience 
I have used a zooming lens 75-300 for some of them and again, complete details can be found on flickr.
They are all taken by Canon Rebel T3i and I have used ACDSee to fix hue, color and contrast. Didnt do much but here they are… let me know what you think
